end of season BIG SALE !!!! Entire month of October all of Naveta's very good abstract/impressionism painting on sale at half price (50% off)

Rodney's wonderful Wildlife Photos also on sale . . . . Percentage to be determined by Rodney. Stay tuned!

I've never done this before and hate to let my quality paintings go at low prices . . . But, I need room to hang work I'll do this winter.

I was and am still very pleased with the totally intuitive pictures I did last winter. It was exciting to do them, and exciting to hang them and see the reaction which was always positive, but didn't amount to a lot of sales. -- Particularly here in NS where it seems Conservatism Reigns.

My MOST IMPORTANT SALE of the summer was one of my FAT BOTTOM GIRLS series. The picture a 20 x 20 acrylic went to an Ontario couple who had a condo full of good art, including two by Salvatore Dali. You can imagine my exuberance knowing one of my paintings is in that company.

NEW at BDF (Beaver Dam Farm) aka Old Barn Galleries and Gardens. -- Simply Gorgeous Norwegian Fjord Horses from Inge Burr's famous breeding program at Blue Raven Farm in Moose Brook, Nova Scotia -

These beautiful horses are the German imported mare, MAITE, age 27, and her daughter, MAXI, age 22. The horses are spending the summer and fall at our farm in Pomquet, NS. And I can't tell you the joy they've brought back to the farm. The emptiness and sadness we've had since losing both BDF Quasar, age 25, and his dam, the imported mare, Holly, age 36 is now at least partly gone. I finally made the hard decision to put Quasar down after three years trying to alleviate his bad arthritis. And then I had to make a decision about Holly as well. She was in relatively good health considering her advanced age, but how would she fare without Quasar? She'd been in a Fjordhorse herd since her birth, and I knew she'd grieve badly over her missing son. I finally was able to reconcile putting her down as the kindest thing I could do for her no matter how hard it was. This, I've always believed, is the duty of animal owners.

My friend, Inge Burr breeds magnificent Fjords on her seaside farm in Moose Brook, Nova Scotia. I've always been enormously impressed with the care she gives her horses and the healthy, natural way they live.

Maite is NOT for sale, but Maxi . . . maybe. However, Inge has several fabulous Fjords on her farm that could be for sale. If you're interested, call her at 902-369-2940 or her cell 902-799-0719

Our farm (Beaver Dam Farm Fjords II Ltd) is now retired, but for 34 years, we were the premiere Fjord breeders in North America. We were known for excellent quality Fjords that lived the good, healthy life in NS, and had the best care and training.

All that's 100% true, BUT, Inge did it better. I could go into her barn unannounced and although the horses had free access to the shelter of the barn, there was hardly a horse dropping to see anywhere in the vast space.

All of her horses were current on hoof care, grooming, mane clipping. All were kind , friendly and quiet. I was ALWAYS super impressed with each visit because I knew full well the effort it takes to achieve that kind of care. Her horses are most definitely worth every Canadian dollar.

Inge is a "Horse Whisperer". She communes with her Fjords. She understands them, and they respond to her. They are loved, but not spoiled. They live a natural life on the vast pastures of her farm by the sea. -- They eat only pasture grass and whole oats. No supplements, no prepared horse feed - Just grass and whole oats and some hay in the winter. And one of the truly remarkable things about Inge's horses is their condition None are overweight, which is a remarkable thing in a Fjordhorse.
