The Charming Cottage
Available for rent from mid-May to the end of October each year.
This house is our winter home, and is fully equipped and very nicely furnished. It has two twin bedrooms and two full baths. There’s a full kitchen with Jenn-Aire stove, slate counters and a wood stove. The kitchen, dining, and living areas are open concept with a huge window looking out over one of the perennial gardens. The entire cottage is furnished with antiques and original Nova Scotian art.
Explore Beaver Dam Farm - Guests staying in the Charming Cottage and Carriage House Loft have the full use of the farm. You can wander all the mown trails. Enjoy the picnic tables, and a small barbeque. In front of the new stable and the Carriage House there’s a nice terrace with large containers growing vegetables and herbs. Guests on the farm are free to help themselves to these goodies. Pet the friendly horses, and possibly arrange an Introduction to Carriage Driving lesson with Carol and BDF Quasar. Currently, only offering on the ground theory lessons. But, that will serve you well should you decide to get into driving.
Beaver Dam Farm is VERY PET FRIENDLY. Well-behaved dogs and cats (and even your horse) are welcome.
Arthur and I always enjoyed hosting guests at our beautiful Beaver Dam Farm. Now that Arthur has passed, I don’t intend to change much of anything. We hope you’ll join us this summer. We’d love to share our lifestyle and tell you how special Nova Scotia is. Come stay with us for a while. Enjoy an Old-Fashioned Farm vacation – life as it used to be and still is here.
